Solar business software

Solar business software for Australian installers.

LYD Solar Suite answers every enquiry, follows up every quote, keeps waiting customers informed and asks for the review, so your crew can stay on the roof.

Why do solar installers need better customer software in 2026?

Because volumes and scrutiny both jumped. The Clean Energy Council reported 276,011 home batteries installed in the first half of 2026, while the ACCC flagged a 107 percent rise in solar and battery complaints in the March quarter. More enquiries, longer waits and more comparison shopping all land on the same small office.

Battery installs in January to June 2026 were up 52 percent on the previous half, according to the Clean Energy Council figures reported by pv magazine (29 September 2026). The Clean Energy Regulator has received more than 500,000 battery applications since the Cheaper Home Batteries Program began.

The ACCC tells homeowners to take their time and get several quotes. That is good advice for them and a follow-up problem for you. The installer who replies first and keeps in touch is still in the conversation when the customer decides.

What does LYD Solar Suite do for an installer?

It captures every enquiry from your website, phone and socials into one CRM, answers common questions and books site assessments through an AI assistant, follows up quotes on a schedule you approve, sends install updates and reminders, asks for a Google review when the job is done, and shows the numbers on one dashboard.

  • Automated call back and follow-up when a lead comes in, including missed calls.
  • Quote stages from enquiry to install, with follow-up that stops when the customer replies.
  • Booking for site assessments, with reminders.
  • Updates you can send to customers waiting on a booked install.
  • Review requests after the system is running.
  • Local SEO for the suburbs you serve.

How does follow-up help when battery rebates step down?

Each step down in the battery STC factor gives an undecided homeowner a real reason to decide sooner. The Clean Energy Regulator set the factor at 6.8 per kWh from May to December 2026, falling to 5.7 from January 2027. A timed, factual follow-up before a step down keeps stalled quotes moving.

From 1 May 2026, battery STCs vary by usable capacity: the first 14 kWh earns the full factor, 14 to 28 kWh earns 60 percent and 28 to 50 kWh earns 15 percent, according to the Clean Energy Regulator (updated 31 July 2026). Batteries must be on the approved list, VPP-capable and installed by an SAA-accredited installer with battery endorsement.

Keep the message factual. Pressure selling is exactly what the ACCC is watching for. Read our guide to battery rebate step-downs and quote follow-up.

Does it replace my design, proposal or STC software?

No. Design, proposals and STC creation stay in the tools built for them, such as your design platform and the REC Registry or your agent. LYD Solar Suite runs the customer side around those: enquiries, follow-up, booking, communication and reviews, connected where an integration exists.

Can better communication reduce solar and battery complaints?

It addresses the causes that sit with the installer. The ACCC's main complaint themes in 2026 included long delays after deposits and poor advice. Regular, honest status updates and a clear record of what was promised cut the silence that turns a delay into a complaint.

RenewEconomy reported the ACCC's figures on 10 July 2026. In NSW, EWON recorded 911 complaints in January to March 2026 that involved consumer energy resources. Our guide covers a customer process that keeps complaints down.

How much does solar business software cost?

LYD Solar Suite is quoted in a written proposal before you commit. The VCPility plans it runs on start from A$165 a month plus GST, as published in October 2026. Website size, number of crews and locations, ads management and integrations change the figure.

Ask for the full monthly cost with messaging and usage included, the contract term and notice period, and how your data is returned if you leave. Get those answers in writing.
