Managed AI services
Managed AI services for businesses without an IT team.
Turning on an AI agent is easy. Keeping it accurate, secure and accountable is the part most small businesses have no one for. Managed AI services mean a team does that for you: an AI register, agent rules, monthly reporting and the security underneath.
What are managed AI services?
Managed AI services are an ongoing service where a provider sets up your AI tools and agents, controls what they can access and do, checks their output, keeps them secure and reports on them each month. You get the benefit of AI agents without hiring someone to look after them, and someone is accountable when an agent gets something wrong.
Sharktech Global treats every AI agent like a new team member: it has a role, limited access, rules about what it may do, and a supervisor. Its managed service follows three steps, connect, control and audit.
What does Sharktech Global manage?
For Launch Your Dream suites, Sharktech manages the agents, the knowledge base, the integrations and the weekly tuning. For businesses with 10 to 200 staff, managed IT adds the helpdesk, Microsoft 365 and cloud, backup, Essential Eight security and AI governance across every AI tool the business uses, including Copilot.
| Launch Your Dream suite | Sharktech managed IT | |
|---|---|---|
| Suits | Small businesses, any size team | 10 to 200 staff |
| AI agents | Set up and tuned for your industry | Any agent or AI tool the business uses |

| From | A$165 a month plus GST | A$3,500 a month plus GST |
How should a small business govern its AI agents?
Keep a simple AI register of every tool and agent, name who is accountable for each, write down what each agent may and may not do, keep personal and client information out of public AI tools, test before launch, review real output regularly and keep a way for a person to step in. That matches the six practices in the Government's Guidance for AI Adoption.
business.gov.au publishes free AI policy and AI register templates (23 October 2025). The OAIC warns against entering personal information into publicly available generative AI tools.
Regulated professions have their own rules too. Tax practitioners must have client permission before entering client information into AI tools, under the TPB's 2026 guidance. See AI agents for accounting practices.
Why does AI need cyber security behind it?
An agent with access to your inbox, CRM or calendar is only as safe as the accounts and devices around it. Weak passwords, missing multi-factor authentication and unpatched systems give attackers the same access the agent has. Essential Eight controls and email fraud protection close the common gaps.
- Security Health Check against the Essential Eight, typically 3 to 5 days.
- Email security and fraud protection (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), typically 1 to 3 days.
- Microsoft 365 and cloud security review, typically 2 to 4 days.
- Security awareness training and phishing simulation.
What do managed AI services not cover?
Be clear on the boundaries before you sign. Sharktech's managed IT runs in business hours, with response targets set in a written scope. It is not a 24/7 security operations centre or an incident response and forensics service, and it does not supply hardware. AI agents in a suite answer around the clock; the people behind them work business hours.
Ask any provider for the written scope, response targets, what happens out of hours, and how you get your data and configurations back if you leave.
How do you start with managed AI services?
Small businesses usually start with a Launch Your Dream suite, which includes managed agents for their industry. Larger teams start with a managed IT pilot month, from A$2,500 to A$3,500 plus GST, or a fixed-scope AI agent pilot from A$5,000. Either way the first step is a 30-minute discovery call.
